The hd pvr / capture card thread

Revieved it this morning off my dad who took delivery of it yesterday.

I will hook it up after and have a quick fanny about with it to see whats what then i will hopefully get some vids up.

Think i will go with a guitar hero track to test the sound and then some racing with either blur or dirt 2.

Will be getting a ps3 component cable soon too so should be able to cover most things with it.

Anyway, i will post again later with something. Time permitting of course.

I have just had a quick blast at out run xbla as a test and it is uploading to you tube as i type.

my channel is here so you can check it in a bit but i will be in bed and will post later.

For the record, i didnt fiddle with any settings, i just selected xbox360 as my source from the list and hit capture.

You seem to have some picture lag there mate. You might need to convert the file before uploading to You Tube.

Quick test video (Just dashboard footage) no fiddling apart from a slight increase in brightness.
Converted using the software that came with it, total media express (TME)

should add that the first few seconds are dull because my pad had gone into standby lol

The last one was a straight MP4 with no conversion but this is recorded using the ps3 default settings then converted into WMV, seems to work fine.

I do have sony vegas 9.0 too so will have a play around when i am off work and maybe make some video's / montages etc.
