The next update is due to drop at the end of this month bringing another ship (the Alliance Challenger) or two (The Krait perhaps), a few more revamps to the mechanics and more bugs...

And about time....




Only concentrated on reaching trade elite after I discovered my brother was almost at the same rank as me. He's always beaten me in the original Elite so I was determined to beat him this time.

So after a few weeks in which I earned over 600 million credits (playing between 1 and 2 1/2 hours a day), it was a lovely sight opening the message from the Pilot's Federation saying that I had gained the rank of Elite... a tear welled up in my eye and I started to drink my celebratory coffee only to realise it was in trade only - it's far harder to gain the ranks in combat than it is in any other way. So now I might hit the Road to Riches to finish off exploration rank then tackle combat. Perhaps...
